Bad Martha Brewery

Edgartown, Massachusetts

Located on the grounds of Donaroma’s Nursery, a post-and-beam design gives Bad Martha Brewery authentic country brewery appeal. Amish carpenters cut pieces in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, then assembled them on-site using only wooden pegs, dowels, and a fifty-pound sledgehammer. The building was completed in three months.

The interior was designed to bring visitors into the beer-making process, with a bar and tasting room offering views of the brewing area. Outside, the porch and pergola-covered patio function as an enticing beer garden.
