The complete reimagination of this turn-of-the-century shingle-style property which had been in the family for generations included a renovation and expansion of the main residence along with the addition of a new multi-function carriage house, pool, and cabana.

In the main house, only the bones remain. A previous maze of rooms was replaced with a program that meets the needs of today’s discerning family. Symmetry and logic were inserted by centering the front door, adding a pair of balanced chimneys, and rhythmically placing windows on the exterior.
Inside, a central gallery organizes the interior program and links the first and second floor to front and back decking. The outdoor program is comprehensive and inviting, maximizing opportunities for enjoyment and entertaining on a parcel just larger than half an acre.
