This year’s annual Newport Show on July 28th marked the eighth stop on the Timeless Book Tour. The event is one of the largest and well-attended antique shows in the country offering an extraordinary collection of antiques, art, and exquisite objects.
The Gala Preview Party, held before the Show’s official opening, was a glamorous evening where over 600 guests – including such notable attendees as Martha Stewart and Fashion Director Cameron Silver – previewed art, mingled with collectors and enjoyed a fabulous cocktail reception. Show offerings ranged from a rare Rococo walnut chest circa 1735, to a $1.25m stunning Renoir.
Our presentation, held the following morning at The Show, celebrated Newport’s world-renowned architecture and described how iconic buildings such as The International Tennis Hall of Fame have influenced and inspired some of our commercial projects in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard including the Boathouse & Atlantic (the former Navigator building) on the harbor’s edge.
The lecture attendees were well versed in art and high-end design and their appreciation of history made for a lively and rich discussion.
