Michael Tartamella, AIA
Michael Tartamella developed an interest in architecture at a young age watching his uncle design homes on the east end of Long Island; he knew then that he wanted to become an architect. A native of Maryland, Michael was introduced to New England by sailing up here during the summers and spending time on the Cape and Islands.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University and obtained his professional registration in 2008. Throughout his professional career, Michael has gained knowledge and expertise in a variety of project types working with architectural firms in New England, Long Island, and Washington DC. Since joining Patrick Ahearn Architect in 2005, Michael has excelled in providing outstanding design and project management on many of the firm’s most significant projects and he has demonstrated a profound aptitude and commitment to the firm’s unique approach to creating timeless architecture. He was promoted to the role of Senior Associate in 2013 and was elevated again to Managing Principal in 2018. His leadership, organization, creativity and attention to detail make him an integral part of the Patrick Ahearn Architect team. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Boston Society of Architects, and he holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Board certification.
Outside of the firm, Michael donates his time to furthering the profession by serving on the board of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art’s New England Chapter. He resides in Wellesley, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
