Benjamin Salling, AIA
Raised in Tennessee, Ben’s appreciation for vernacular and traditional architecture began early and was further developed during summers visiting Seaside, Florida – where he also became fascinated with urban design. This love of architecture and urbanism, and the understanding that the two must be considered together, led him to study at the University of Miami and work with the founders of the New Urbanist movement.
Prior to joining Patrick Ahearn in 2019, Ben worked with top-tier firms in Miami and New York, where he gained a broad range of experience in residential, resort, mixed-use, and institutional projects around the world. A member of the American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects, he is currently licensed in Massachusetts and Florida.
Ben lives in Beacon Hill with his husband and is the proud owner of a stuffed peacock named Harrie T. Lindeberg.
