Contest Rules

For nearly a decade, Patrick has answered questions from homeowners in our At Home With Patrick Ahearn contest. A follower favorite that began in the early days of social media as Feature House Friday, the contest allows the firm to connect with enthusiasts far and wide and communicate our architectural approach and creativity to the public. 

To enter our contest,

  1. Follow @patrickahearnarchitect on Instagram
  2. Like the Instagram post announcing the contest
  3. Tag friends in the comments section of the contest post. Each tagged friend represents one contest entry. Followers are encouraged to enter as many times as they like.

Four (4) winners will be chosen at random and announced approximately one week after each contest launch. Patrick’s ideas are shared via personalized videos on Instagram and YouTube based on the firm’s production schedule.

At Home with Patrick Ahearn Contest Rules & Regulations

 

  1. Eligibility
    No purchase necessary to enter or win. Prospective entrants must follow @PatrickAhearnArchitect on Instagram, like the contest announcement post, and tag at least one other Instagram User. Persons under 18 and employees and affiliates of Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC are not eligible to participate. In addition, to be eligible, prospective entrants must not already be under contract with another architect for the proposed residence. The contest is open to international participation. Entrants need not be present to win. Past winners of both the At Home With Patrick Ahearn and Feature House Friday contests are not eligible to win.
  2. Qualification Period
    The qualification period begins when the Instagram contest content is posted on the @patrickahearnarchitect Instagram account and ends the same day the following week at 11:59 pm.
  3. Entry Procedures
    Prospective entrants who meet the eligibility criteria must tag Instagram users in the comments section of the contest announcement post. Each tagged user represents one entry for the prospective entrant. Multiple entries are permitted and encouraged.
  4. Duties of Participants; Limitation of Liability
    By entering, participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC which shall be final. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC and its employees and representatives are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; (iii) errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC that may cause the contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the contest; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the contest.
  5. Violation of Contest Rules
    Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner who, in its sole suspicion, tampers with the entry process, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
  6. Selection of Winners; Chances of Winning
    Four (4) winners will be selected at random among all entries received for each contest period. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received.
  7. Description of Prizes
    Four (4) winners will receive the opportunity to ask Patrick a question about their personal residence via email. Patrick will answer each winner’s question through a custom video that will be posted on Instagram and our YouTube channel based on the firm’s production schedule. Patrick will provide ideas for one contest winner in each posted winner video for a total of 4 (four) contest winner videos posted related to each contest period. Follow up questions regarding Patrick’s ideas will not be entertained. If applicable, sketches are copyright of Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC and are not based for construction. The original sketches are the property of Patrick Ahearn Architect and are not included in the prize. Winner shall also receive a signed copy of Patrick Ahearn’s book History Reinterpreted. Total value of the book is $45 plus shipping and handling.
  8. Notification of Winners; Substitution of Prizes
    Four (4) winners will be notified and announced via a public-facing congratulatory post on Instagram the day after winners are drawn. Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC will notify the winner one time in this public post. If any winner does not respond providing a question for Patrick with required images within seven days of notification, the prize will be forfeited. Prizes are not transferable. Winners may not substitute prizes. Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event a prize is unavailable. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. All taxes on prize are winners’ responsibility. Limit one prize per household.
  9. Permissions
    Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, and likenesses for online posting, and/or any advertising and publicity without additional compensation. Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions shall be grounds for forfeiture of a prize.
