The ninth stop on our Timeless Book Tour took place on the first Sunday of August (or August 5th) at Ocean House, a historic Relais & Chateaux resort in gorgeous Watch Hill, Rhode Island. We were delighted to be invited to speak to members and guests about the book – and to share current work in nearby Weekapaug.
Ocean House proved to be an ideal venue to discuss historic renovation. The resort opened just after the Civil war in 1868 and in 2004 was magnificently restored to replicate the original exterior. In fact, as a Grande Dame of New England hotels, the resort was “immortalized in the movie American Aristocracy” starring Douglas Fairbanks.
We were grateful to speak to this wonderful audience and to enjoy a robust discussion and book signing reception overlooking stunning views of the Atlantic.
